Sam and the future

Hello everyone from www.samnixon.net. The site is nearly 3 months old now and
the administrators of the site would like to thank all of you for joining and
your support over that time.

The aim of the site is to follow, support and promote Sam whatever the future
may hold for him and to make it a fun, friendly and informative place for you to
visit and make friends while supporting Sam.

Now that TOTPS has finished for the summer we won't be seeing so much of Sam on
our screens, but we still need to carry on supporting and promoting him.

There are however a few events coming up in the near future. Sam & Mark are set
to host The Barnardo’s Centenary Variety Show on Thursday 9th June 2005 at the
Royal Albert Hall and the recording of Celebrities Under Pressure is due to be
screened on ITV some time this summer.

samnixon.net - 6 months on

Samnixon.net has now been up and running for nearly 6 months and we'd like to
take this opportunity to thank all our loyal members for their contributions and
support over the months. Our progress and development has been largely due to
you - you make the site what it is so thank you once again.

The site has developed considerably since March and we can now offer a brand new
homepage as well as a brief write up on Sam and the site's commitment to
supporting him in the future. Our gallery is very impressive now with a very
large selection of pictures including his appearances at last years summer
roadshows and many fan photos taken outside the BBC over the last year. Our
forums can offer you all the lyrics to songs Sam sang on Pop Idol and with
Fareview. We also have a creative forum for all of your artwork, poems, songs,
links to your websites etc, a general chat forum, a birthday forum so that your
special day gets a mention and a video and audio forum which we hope to expand
upon in the coming months.

SamNixon.net - One Year On

Well, it hardly seems possible, but SamNixon.net is one year old on March 4th, and what a fun-packed year it's been!

Happy Birthday Sam & SamNixon.net

It's been two years since SamNixon.net first opened its doors and what an exciting and prosperous two years it has been for Sam & Mark especially last year with the successes of both Level Up & TMi. Their careers have continued to go from strength to strength and a new series of Level Up is due to be screened this Easter and over the Summer Holidays.

Sam and Mark's new show starts on Monday 2nd April at 8.00 a.m. on BBC2. Don't

Apologies to any members that have experienced any difficulties accessing the
site over the last month. Our site hosts have been carrying out essential
maintenance on the servers which has resulted in the site going very slow at
times or even going down for short periods of time. Unfortunately this was
beyond our control. Sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused,
hopefully normal service has now been resumed.

Hello from SamNixon.net - Exciting News

Hello from everyone at http://samnixon.net/ ! We’d like to thank you all for
your continuing support and wish you all a great summer ahead.

To get the summer off with a bang, we have some exciting Sam news to share! As
we all know, Sam’s career is now firmly in TV but he continues to hold a deep
love for music and has formed a band called Mason purely for enjoyment (it’s not
part of his career). The band has a gig coming up on the 2nd June at the "burn
down the disco" night at The Arches, a popular live music venue in Barnsley, and
is also headlining a local music festival at Darton, Barnsley on the 30th June.
We’re sure you’ll all share our delight to hear that Sam’s music talent is no
longer to remain unheard and he’s going to be performing in public once again!

Sam and Mark returning to our screens with a new series of TMi

Sam and Mark will be returning to our screens with a 2nd series of TMi on BBC2 at 9am next Saturday, 8th September. Along with the lovely Caroline Flack of course! The first series of TMi made for great Saturday morning entertainment and we're sure the 2nd series is going to live up to the standard set last time round. The format of the new series will be different this time so make sure you tune in and enjoy it all for yourself! Whether it's fun and games or music videos or simply to let Sam and Mark entertain you, TMi has something for everyone! Exciting News

Hello to all our members at www.samnixon.net !

Firstly, with the second series of TMi now in full swing we would like to say a big thank you to Sam, Mark and Caroline for entertaining us so brilliantly on a Saturday morning. A show full of fun, hosted by genuinely funny and down to earth presenters who obviously love working on the show as much as we love watching it - what better way to start the weekend for the young and young at heart!

Now on to some exciting news! Sam and Mark are to appear on BBC’s Children in Need on Friday, 16th November and will sing together for the first time on TV in 3 years when they perform a soul classic. They are scheduled to perform in the 7:30 – 8:00 pm slot (although that could be subject to change), and it certainly sounds like a good reason to settle down in front of the telly on a cold November night!

Sam’s band Mason is also performing their next gig at The Arches in Pitt Street, Barnsley on 15th December so a very enjoyable start to the run up to Christmas for any fan able to go along and support them. Four very talented lads, they are most definitely worth a listen!

As we all know, Sam is a huge fan of Christmas so he will no doubt be very proud that this year he has the honour of turning on the Christmas lights in Barnsley on Wednesday, 14th November at 5:30 pm.

SamNixon.net 3 years on - and a birthday coming up for Sam too!

Time really does seem to fly and it's hard to believe we are now reaching the third birthday of SamNixon.net! Once again we'd like to take this opportunity to thank all our loyal members for their contributions and support over the years. We've come a long way since 2005 and without our members we wouldn't be here!

Sam and Mark have been sadly missing from our TV screens since the second series of the excellent TMi ended in December, so we were delighted to see them make an appearance on the show Loose Women on 22nd February. Quite a few members may have missed this interview as it was shown on a weekday lunchtime, so for those who missed it and would like to see it, we have the clip in our video forum - viewtopic.php?t=2765 It's a great interview and definitely worth watching! Season's Greetings from SamNixon.net

Once again the festive season is almost upon us so everyone at samnixon.net would like to take this opportunity to catch up with all our members and to thank you all for your continued support through 2008.

Sam and Mark were sorely missed from our TV screens during the first half of 2008 whilst they were on a well deserved break. They returned in the summer to begin work on their new "superhero" themed CBBC show which will air for the first time on 3rd January 2009 (By all accounts this is going to be a great show so a date for your diaries there!). Then September saw the very welcome return of "TMi" (Saturday mornings just aren't the same without it!), plus a show for the younger CBBC audience "Sam and Mark's guide to dodging disaster". The boys may have been off air for a while but they were very busy behind the scenes!

Sam continues to fulfill his talent and love for music by performing local gigs with his band Mason, the most recent of which was a half hour set for a crowd of several thousand in the centre of Barnsley at the town's Christmas light switch on. By all accounts it was a fantastic night and Mason proved to be hugely popular.

We'd like to bring your attention to the fact that due to circumstances beyond our control we're having to change the style of our forum slightly soon. When you visit the site during the next few weeks you may notice that it looks a bit different to how you remember it! It will still function exactly the same and be just as user friendly as always but should you encounter any difficulties please do not hesitate to contact us and we'll do our best to help you and iron out any glitches.

This has been a productive year for Sam & Mark to say the least, with three brand new shows: Who Wants to Be a Superhero?, Skate Nation and Copycats, plus the very welcome return of the brilliant TMi for a 4th series. They’ve also recorded Jump Nation (the follow up to Skate Nation), which will hit our screens in the new year, so plenty more Sam & Mark to come!

The boys have also been popping up on quite a few TV shows this year (such as BBLB, Loose Women and Xtra Factor) so it’s probably safe to say this has been their busiest and most successful year so far. Keep checking our forum to stay up to date with all the news and chat! index.php

A mini-milestone for samnixon.net

samnixon.net is celebrating a special anniversary very soon - on March 5th the website will have been running for 5 years! To mark this mini-milestone the admin team would like to take the opportunity to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all our members for their continued support and contributions over the past 5 years. We've said it before but we'll say it again because we're keenly aware of how important it is - the site is what it is today because of all you lovely people. Without you we might not be here today!

Of course, the reason we're here is to support the career of a certain Sam Nixon and as the site has developed and evolved over the past 5 years, so too has Sam and Mark's presenting career. Indeed things are looking extremely exciting right now because Sam and Mark have recently ventured into the world of radio presenting with a weekly show on radio stations across the Midlands. (For anyone not living in the coverage area, you can listen to their show online at http://www.brmb.co.uk every Sunday at 11am).From their relatively humble beginnings as co-presenters on Children's TV,through to being the main presenters on the flagship Saturday morning TVshow and now through to radio presenters, Sam and Mark are certainly making impressive strides within the field of entertainment and presenting. When they're not gracing the airwaves or our TV screens, within their role as popular children's presenters Sam and Mark often involve themselves in raising money for charity. On Saturday, 27th February they're taking part in "Let's Dance for Sport Relief" (BBC1, 7:15pm) and on Sunday, 21st March they're taking part in the "Sport Relief Mile" in Leeds. We wish them all the best for both of these important events.

For anyone who remembers Sam from Pop Idol (when he was all of 17 years old!) you'll remember how passisonate he was about music. Music is still very important to Sam and when his busy schedule allows he plays gigs around Barnsley with his band Mason. Mason can be found on Myspace at http://www.myspace.com/masonbarnsley. They're well worth checking out!

So to finish - happy 5th birthday samnixon.net - and here's to the next 5years! And more importantly of course, here's to Sam and Mark's continued and deserved success on both TV and radio.
